Susan and Stacey are passionate about food. That’s what brought them together when they met over 17 years ago, while picking up their daughters from the same preschool. Stacey, a professionally trained cook, with many years of restaurant experience, and Susan, a naturally creative, self-taught cook with an Italian background, formed a close friendship over the years. It was only natural that they should eventually go into the cooking business together.

In the summer of 2000, they formed a partnership and opened the Heron Island Café and Catering Service in the newly built Richmond City Hall. Business grew strong, and in 2003 they were able to expanded their operations to MacNiell Secondary School.

Through mostly positive word of mouth, they have expanded they’re services from corporate breakfasts and lunches, to dinner parties, weddings, bar mitzvahs, and other gatherings.
